Pentagon: We are discussing a security mechanism on Syrian border with Turks

Pentagon officials are continuing intensive discussions with the Defense Ministry and security services in Ankara of Turkey, this week to "find a specific security mechanism" and described the talks as "positive," Pentagon spokesman Commander Sean Robertson said on Monday.

Robertson refused to discuss the details of the discussions, which he described as "positive," and assured  to Alhurra that "the Pentagon refuses to use the term" establishing a safe zone "or" safe tape "on the border between the two countries, pointing out that discussions will continue throughout this week hoping to reach a "concrete and close" outcome.

On Monday, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the end of the first round of talks, which will resume on Tuesday.
