As the resistance of the hunger strikers initiated by parliamentarian Leyla Guven in the Turkish state prison 145 days ago, condemning the isolation imposed on the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan, there is growing resentment against the Turkish state practices and support for the hunger strikers.
The residents of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons spoke to Hawar News Agency about the issue and said that the hunger strikers' will get over injustice and persecution.
Citizen Sherin Hanan from the people of Afrin and resident in al-Shahba's Ahras district said that the resistance of hunger strikers which exceeded four months and their determination go beyond all levels of resistance.
"The resistance of the struggler Leyla Guven inevitably will win and achieve her goals, because the strong will and attachment to the goals is more precious than anything else, and we will stand by the resistance until the freedom of the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan." Added Sherin Hanan.
Nidal Mohammed, from Afrin and a resident of Ahras district, said that they support the parliamentarian Leyla Guven and her comrades' resistance who resist the fascism of Turkey, and stressed their readiness to join strugglers' hunger strike and escalate activities and events in support of them.
Nidal added, "Resistance will prevail regardless of the price and whatever the Turkish state sought to obliterate our voice and suppressed us." By resisting and standing by each other, we will lift the isolation and achieve victory over dictator Erdogan."
"The resistance of the hunger strikers is a victory for the will over all forms of injustice and persecution," said Jamil Houri, a resident of al-Shahba. Houri noted, "In the spirit of these resistant fighters, we will remain on the path of resistance and steadfastness until the liberation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan."
