PYD Lebanon Office: International silence toward mercenary crimes is shameful

The PYD office in Lebanon called on the United Nations to establish a fact-finding committee to uncover crimes committed by Turkish mercenaries in the occupied areas of Syria.

The office of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in Lebanon considered the international silence towards mercenary crimes "a disgrace to humanity."

In the text of the statement delivered by the party's office:

“We condemn and denounce all violations and crimes that the city of Afrin and the rest of the occupied areas are subjected to by the Turkish state and its mercenaries and in the shadow of an unjust international silence which is a shame silence on humanity. Since the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish state and its mercenaries, they have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity in terms of kidnapping, torture, burning, stealing monuments and targeting of women. We call on all human rights and humanitarian organizations in the world, and we appeal to the United Nations and the international community to send a fact-finding commission to hold mercenary factions accountable.
