PYD: Our moral, human duty requires us to resist until victory

The Democratic Union Party (PYD) denounced the Turkish President Erdogan's threats against northern and eastern Syria, calling on the international community and the authorities in Damascus to stand in solidarity to thwart the goals of the tyrant Erdogan.

This came in a written statement issued by the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) in connection with the threats launched by Erdogan to attack the areas of the East Euphrates.

PYD said in its statement, "Our moral and humanitarian duty requires us to resist until victory."

The statement said,

"At the time when IS terrorist organization is breathing its last breath in Deir ez-Zor in Hajin at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces with the support of the American-led International Coalition against terrorism, the people of Syria, the region and the world witness what the Turkish President Erdogan claimed by invading the east of the Euphrates and declaring a battle again on the people of the northern and eastern Syria.

We at the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) denounce Erdogan's statement. We consider this to be a link in a series in which he is going to obstruct the solution of the Syrian crisis whenever there is hope which has become the black stick used by the Turkish regime in the implementation of expansion plans of the so-called the Mulli Charter and therefore occupy all north and east of Syria to the areas of southern Syria, and also completed the support provided by Ankara to various terrorist organizations committed atrocities against the peoples of the region, the world and the Syrian people in particular. The aim of Ankara is to strike the security, stability and coexistence in northern and eastern Syria which were built thanks to the blood of thousands of martyrs to destabilize the gains achieved in the model of Democratic Autonomous Administration. The best models are protection, defense and confirmation of the unity and sovereignty of Syria.

We demand the United Nations, the Security Council, the Authority in Damascus, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, all the Kurdish parties, the secular democratic forces in Syria, the region and the world, the institutions of the civil society and human rights and all of them to support the people of Syria with all components in order to thwart the goals of the tyrant Erdogan who declares to occupy the entire region. This declaration of war is considered a declaration of war against the International Coalition, particularly the United States of America.

Finally, our initial and final reliance would be on the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the resistance of our people that are aware of their truth and right to freedom, and our moral and human duty requires us to resist until victory."
