Members of a drug network, who were arrested by the Internal Security Forces, revealed important information. Most notably, they have official missions from relief and humanitarian organizations, which are used to bring drugs into the Autonomous Administration areas.
As part of their struggle against drug networks, the General Administration for Drug Control in North and East Syria arrested earlier a network of 4 individuals, and after interrogating them and confessing their guilt and the crime they committed, they were transferred to prison.
The members of the network, during their confessions, revealed the mechanism of work of organizing the members of the network and how to promote and introduce drugs into the Autonomous Administration area.
According to the confessions of the members of the network who are in the grip of the Internal Security Forces, they are led by a person nicknamed (Abdel-Wahhab Sharbati) who lives in Turkey and moves between Turkey and Lebanon, and takes over the management of the network. Sharabati, who directs the network, has close relations with Turkey, ISIS and mercenaries loyal to Turkey, and the network has been entrusted with the tasks of bringing drugs into the areas of the Autonomous Administration.
"We enter drugs through relief aid"
We obtained the approval of the administrator of the Social Justice Court in North and East Syria, the Internal Security Forces, and the prison administrators, to conduct exclusive interviews with members of the drug network.
At the request of the administrator of the concerned authorities and members of the network, we reserve the right to mention and publish the names and identities of the network members involved in bringing drugs into the Autonomous Administration areas.
Members of the drug network revealed information related to how the Autonomous Administration areas were flooded with drugs, and made them a commercial transit point for drugs (receipt and delivery) by using trucks carrying relief aid and official missions belonging to international and local organizations.
20 years ago from now (M,B), married with 4 children, born in Aleppo, entered the world of drugs while he was at the top of his job driving trucks.
(M,B) was arrested by the Saudi security forces while he was taking narcotic pills, and they seized (300) pills in his possession. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison, then he was released two years after his arrest under a general amnesty that included him. After that, he returned to the city of Aleppo, his hometown, and he is the most active member of the network, whose mission is to deliver drugs to the areas of the Autonomous Administration.
(M,B) coordinated with another dealer named (H,K) with the leader of the network (Abdul-Wahhab Sharabati), to bring drugs into the Autonomous Administration areas, and they agreed to carry the amount of drugs (two cartons) in their trucks.
(M,B) confirmed that they transported the drugs through his truck, which was carrying aid and relief clothes, and brought them to the areas of the Autonomous Administration.
How to introduce drugs into AANES’ areas?
(M,B) set out from Homs after receiving the amount of drugs required to be entered into the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and he explained: "We work in a complete secret and hidden way. When we arrived at Tal Koçer, we met a person named (Abu Mahdi), near the Iraqi border. He took the goods and came back.
And the second time, (M,B) entered the Captagon pills into the areas of the Autonomous Administration, from a different starting point, as he carried the goods from Al-Nabek in the Damascus countryside, and stated: “I carried 100 thousand pills to transport them and bring them into Tal Koçer, a person named (M,B) accompanied me.” He was carrying with him a barrel of medicine from the Asia Pharmaceutical Factory.
Drug receipt and delivery operations take place in Tal Koçer
(M,B) confirmed that to facilitate the passage of drugs into the Autonomous Administration areas: "We carry with us official missions from several organizations, namely UNICEF, the International Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and we hide drugs among the aid provided by these organizations."
(M,B) indicated that the security checkpoints of the Damascus government do not search trucks, unlike the areas of the Autonomous Administration whose checkpoints carry out thorough inspections, and (MB) noted: "One of the drug deliveries took place near Ali Agha gas station in Tal Koçer, to a person called Abu Hamza.”
How to coordinate
(M,B) touched on the coordination process between them: "After bringing the narcotic substances into the areas of the Autonomous Administration, we receive information over the phone from Abd al-Wahhab Sharabati, who gives us the progress of the process of delivering narcotic substances to the members of the network in detail." After completing the task, M,B receives the money from Sharabati.
(H,K), one of those involved, is married and has 5 children, resides in the city of Aleppo, and works with (M,B) in bringing drugs into north-eastern Syria.
(H,K) revealed the course of the drug transport line that they enter into the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and explained that it is coming from Lebanon to Homs, then it is entered into North and East Syria and delivered to Abu Hamza (a pseudonym used as a password among them), who in turn bistributing them in the region and bringing them into Iraq through smuggling routes.
89 bags of narcotic pills were brought into north-eastern Syria
(H,K) entered, in one shipment, 89 bags of narcotic pills to the regions of North and East Syria, and confirmed that he was not subjected to the inspection process while he was coming from the city of Homs to the areas of the Autonomous Administration, and he stated in his Aleppo accent: "As usual... When I passed through the regime's checkpoints, no one searches me.”
(H,K) claims that he worked with Abd al-Wahhab al-Sharabati for only one month, and confirmed the existence of a close relationship between Abd al-Wahhab al-Sharabati and ISIS mercenaries and the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state.
After a careful search by the Anti-Narcotics Department in North and East Syria, both (M,B) and (H,K) were arrested red-handed in a hotel in Qamishlo, in possession of narcotics.
The Narcotics Network Not only did drugs enter the areas of the Autonomous Administration, but also tried to establish networks in the cities of North and East Syria, to spread this scourge among the general population of North and East Syria. We will publish this information tomorrow in the fifth part of our files.
