Responsible Arab source: Collective Arab positions during next phase to counter Turkish interventions

An official source in the Arab League revealed that the Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit informed the Iraqi Foreign Minister that the coming stage will witness collective Arab stances to confront the Turkish interference in Arab countries' affairs.

Quoting from a responsible source, the Arab League declared on Thursday in a statement on its Facebook webpage that Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit confirmed in a call with the Iraqi foreign minister that the next stage will witness collective Arab stances in the face of the rejected Turkish interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries; violations of the sovereignty of Iraq and Syria, as well as its rejected military intervention in Libya.

This comes as the Arab foreign ministers affirmed their countries' full support for the security and sovereignty of Iraq, and condemned the Turkish attacks, calling for the necessity to immediately stop any Turkish military operations on the Iraqi lands, according to the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.

The Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, made several contacts with his Arab counterparts against the background of the blatant Turkish attack that caused the killing of two Iraqi army officers and soldiers while they were carrying out a mission to establish security on the border strip with the Turkish side, with a drone in Sidkan region in Hewler.
