Russia responds to Erdogan: We attack only terrorist groups

The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's statements regarding Idlib, and confirmed that Russia and the Syrian regime only attacked terrorist groups.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said: In response to the statements of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in which he accused Moscow and the Syrian regime of targeting civilians, Russia and the regime are targeting only terrorist groups.

"We have stated more than once and unequivocally that neither Russia nor the Syrian armed forces attack the civilian population, all attacks are directed exclusively against terrorist groups, those who fight the legitimate authorities," said Vladimir Tarabrin, head of the emerging threats and challenges section of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the regime and Russia of killing civilians in Idlib, and threatened the regime forces and demanded that they withdraw to what are called Turkish control points.
