Today marks the eighth anniversary of the start of the July 19 revolution, which brought significant gains to the components of the region. On this occasion, the Syrian Democratic Council issued a statement to the public opinion, through which it indicated that with the advent of the eighth anniversary of the revolution we are entering into a new struggle phase based on preserving the gains that have been achieved. "
The text of the statement read:
"The eighth anniversary of the July 19 revolution passes upon us, and we are entering a new struggle phase that focuses on preserving the gains made by this revolution from military, economic, political and institutional achievements in light of a neighborhood floating in it the features of tyranny and national and sectarian fighting, as the political solution remains elusive in Syria.
We in the Syrian Democratic Council were and are still in the stages of the struggle to achieve a democratic solution in Syria, but other conflicting parties still reject democratic solutions until the foundations of this solution have been completed.
Between the so-called opposition and the government, the Syrian fighting continues, but this time not for the sake of the Syrian territories, but it became more offensive to the Syrians, as these parties turned the Syrians into mercenaries fighting for the benefit of regional and international powers starting from Libya and Yemen and reaching Azerbaijan as sources speak.
By virtue of the revolution, the situation in northern and eastern Syria has become different, where, despite the lack of capabilities, there are achievements on the ground, in light of the economic crisis prevailing in the country, the institutions of the autonomous administration have managed to reduce the burden of this crisis on citizens through several measures.
Women in northern and eastern Syria also continue to perpetuate their role at the forefront of the revolution, as despite attempts to intimidate them by committing violations against many women, most notably the politician Hevrin Khalaf, this did not detract from their determination.
Women in northern and eastern Syria also continue to perpetuate their role at the forefront of the revolution, as despite attempts to intimidate them by committing violations against many women, most notably the political Hevrin Khalaf, this did not detract from their resolve.
These measures and success in getting out of the economic, security and health crises resulting from the spread of the corona pandemic, led some to madness, and we have seen some attempts to hit these successes by intensifying attacks on drones by the Turkish occupation, in addition to fighting the Syrians with water, and there are question marks about positions The Syrian government and Russia are of these attempts.
Here, too, we must commemorate the enormous sacrifices made by the people of northern and eastern Syria in the SDF; The product and extension of the July 19 revolution, it fought terrorism and extremist ideology and preserved the values of co-existence and pluralism in society.
The July 19 revolution was not confined to the political, administrative, and military side, but rather extended to a political, cultural, economic and social revolution, and embodied the aspirations and hopes of the Syrian people, who rose up for it nine years ago, and it carries the foundations for achieving a pluralistic democratic Syria according to the Syrian national identity.
From this standpoint, the revolution is still ongoing, and we have a lot of big tasks to do at this stage. We also call on the Syrians, with their various affiliations, to look and compare the achievements of this revolution with what happened in other regions, and we call on everyone to unite against attempts aimed at occupation of more Syrian lands.
