SDC's delegation in Cairo to discuss Turkish aggression

A delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) will meet today with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to brief him on developments in the north and east of Syria against the backdrop of the Turkish invasion.

At the invitation of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a high-level delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council will meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to discuss the Turkish aggression on northern and eastern Syria and to brief him on developments in the situation there.

The delegation includes the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council Riyad Dirar, the Executive President of the Syrian Democratic Council Ilham Ahmed and member of the Presidential Council of the Council of Syria Sihanouk Dibo.

The delegation's meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister comes before the start of the emergency meeting of the Arab League Council, which comes at the request of Egypt to discuss the Turkish aggression on northern and eastern Syria.

Sources close to SDC's delegation indicate that the delegation is expected to attend the Arab League headquarters during the ministerial meeting, but did not specify whether the delegation would report to the Council or meet with Arab foreign ministers in a closed meeting or otherwise.
