Today, the Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement revealing the arrest of a mercenary from ISIS:
Within the framework of joint security operations against the terrorist organization ISIS and its cells in the region, the Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) of our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, with the participation of the Anti-Terrorism Service in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (CTG) and with the support of the International Coalition Forces, carried out on Friday, May 26, a security operation took place in the village of Al-Bontel in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zor.
The units were able to monitor and arrest a member of the terrorist organization ISIS, who was working to facilitate and support terrorist cells in the region in terms of supplying and smuggling weapons. And also seized several weapons and military equipment in his possession, like:
1-pistol
1-Kalashnikov
4-mobiles
11- Kalashnikov ammunition
Our forces affirm the continuation of their joint security operations in combating the cells of the terrorist organization "ISIS"."
