​​​​​​​SDF captures one the prominent ISIS leader in eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor  

SDF's fighters during security operation captured one of the prominent ISIS Emirs in ISIS' ranks in the western countryside of the Syrian city of Deir-ez-Zor.

ANHA correspondent from the eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor quoted that SDF managed, on Tuesday morning, in carrying security operation in al-Sobha town, in which 3 homes have been stormed by SDF fighters with the collaboration of International Coalition.

Our correspondent quoted SDC commander that the operation resulted in the arrest of one of the ISIS' Emirs who held a security position responsible for the movement of ISIS cells in the city of Deir-ez-Zor, known as "Abu Jihad al-Ansari", near al-Iman Mosque in the town of al-Sabha.

According to the same source, Abu Jihad al-Ansari is considered one of the prominent leaders of local ISIS mercenaries in the region.

The eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor has recently witnessed an escalation in the pace of the movements of ISIS mercenary cells, in addition to cells belonging to the regime's security institutions, and others to Turkey, according to the latest statements of SDF officials to ANHA.

The SDF operations have continued since March 2019 in pursuit of ISIS mercenary cells, after defeating ISIS' gangs in the last stronghold in the municipality of al-Baghouz in the eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor.
