SDF General Command demands US to abide its duty in truce, put pressure on Turkey to open safe passage

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces said that they abided by the truce reached by the US and the Turkish occupation, and demanded the US side to abide by it and also pressurize the Turkish side to open a safe passage to evacuate the wounded.

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a written statement to the public opinion on the truce declared by the United States and Turkey,

"The SDF has agreed to the ceasefire between us and the Turkish state, which was mediated by the United States on 17 October, and we have complied with it starting at 22:00 hours," the SDF General Command said in a statement. Turkey side continued his attack in violation of the cease-fire and does not allow the opening of a safe passage to evacuate the wounded and civilians trapped in the city of Ras al-Ain / Serêkaniyê, despite more than 30 hours since the ceasefire took effect.

US Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who have concluded the agreement with the Turkish side, have a responsibility to oblige Turkey to implement the ceasefire and open the corridor to get out the wounded and civilians trapped according to understandings with the US side.

Despite the constant communication with the American side and the promises made by them to solve this problem, there has been no tangible progress.

We have pledged to abide by the cease-fire and continue to abide by it, but at the same time we demand the US side to abide by and also to pressure the Turkish side to open the corridor and get the wounded and civilians out of the besieged Serêkaniyê / Ras al-Ain.
