SDF reveals outcome of five-day battles

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the killing of a leader of ISIS mercenaries in Deir Al-Zour, while the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to bomb the rural villages of Serekaniye and Ain Issa.

The media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces revealed the outcome of the battles and resistance during the period from January 13 to January 18, in a statement.

The text of the statement read:

“The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue the bombing and reconnaissance, and accordingly:

Serekaniye

On January 13, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed the village of Mushairfa and the surrounding villages with heavy weapons.

Ein Issa

The Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries bombed the villages of Seda, Al-Hawz, Arida, Bir Kno, Ibrahim Lakrdi, Marduda, Khirbet Baqar and sewn the M4 International Road, using mortars and Obises, and the fierce and continuous shelling on January 15 resulted in severe injury to one of our fighters and was martyred due to his injury, and the shelling also resulted in physical damage to the property of the civilians.

A successful military operation against ISIS operatives

On January 14, anti-terrorist units carried out a military operation in Deir al-Zor, targeting the mercenary known as the Iraqi Abu al-Ward, who is in charge of oil and funding ISIS sleeper cells, and supervising ISIS attacks in the area. During the operation, clashes erupted between our units and mercenaries, and the clash resulted in the killing of the Iraqi mercenary Abu al-Ward, and another unidentified mercenary.

Our units were also able during the operation to seize a quantity of ammunition and documents."
