SDF's media center issued on Monday a written statement revealing the reality of the battles and areas liberated by their forces during al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The text of the statement included:

"Our forces ended the first week of the campaign to liberate al-Deshisha town in al-Hasakah countryside with field advance on both eastern and western fighting fronts according to the plan prepared by the operations room, inflicting vast losses to the terrorist IS organization as our forces were able to advance 9 km in the eastern axis and 13 km in the western axis.

The villages liberated by our forces are al-Hamidiya, Sefiyan, al-Mazar, al-khubeira, al-Hijla, Shamas, Hussein al-Hijla, al-Hesso, al-Awdat, Kuleib, Morjan and Om Mahfour in addition to their surrounding hamlets. It is worth mentioning that hundreds of civilians who were encircled in these villages have been evacuated, and away from the areas of clashes. In addition, these villages were full of mines and booby traps as the military engineering units dismantled them, and our forces found five trenches that were militarily isolated.

In the battles of the last four days, clashes erupted between our forces and the terrorists directly, violent battles broke out in which heavy and medium weapons were used.

Our forces confirmed the killing of many terrorists and capturing others, and our forces also seized quantities of weapons and ammunition."
