The SDF Press Center released a statement on their official website regarding the operations which were carried out to avenge the citizens martyred and injured in the attacks by the Turkish occupation against Kobane and Amude. The statement is as follows:
“ To the press and public opinion
The Turkish occupation state is daily increasing its attacks against the territory of North and East Syria. In these attacks, which primarily target civilians, on August 16, a child was martyred in Kobane and 4 citizens were injured. Also, on the same day, a UAV from the Turkish occupation army carrried out an attack against a base of the Self-Defense Forces in Amude`s countryside, resulting in 5 fighters being martyred and several citizens who attempted to carry the injured to hospital were also injured. As a response to those attacks, our forces carried out a series of effective operations against the Turkish occupation army.
In this framework;
3 effective operations were carried out against the Turkish occupation army on the border to the cities of Riha, Dilok and Mardin.
In the first operation, 6 soldiers from the Turkish occupation army who where gathered around a T-155 howitzer gun, close to the Chicekalan base in the Berejuk district in Riha city, were targeted. As result of this operation, according to obtained information, a total of 6 members of the Turkish occupation army were killed, including a commander and a member of the intelligence services. In addition, the enemy suffered several injuries, but we have not obtained any clear information regarding the number of injuries. An explosion occured in the armory at the base as a result of this operation.
In the second operation, the Koprubati base in the Karkamish district of Dilok city was targeted. The number of dead and wounded of the Turkish occupation army in this operation was not clarified.
The third operation was carried out on the border to Mardin city. A Kirpi vehicle was targeted in this operation. As a result of this operation, 1 soldier was killed and 3 soldiers were also injured.
As a result of these operations, a total of 7 members of the Turkish occupation army were killed, and at least 3 soldiers were also injured. Our forces will continue to carry out operations in response against all kinds of attacks by the Turkish occupation army.”
