Spokesman of Manbij clans urges regime to hold talks with AA to end occupation

The official spokesman for the tribes of Manbij, Muhammad Sadiq al-Asidi, called on the Syrian regime to dialogue with the Autonomous Administration to reach a way out of the Syrian crisis and end the Turkish occupation of the country.

Al-Asidi said, "The Turkish state is an occupying country, not a state of reconstruction. It came to sabotage and destroy the hopes of the Syrian people."

Since the summer of 2016, Turkey has started occupying areas in Syria, starting with Jarabulus, al-Bab, Azaz, Afrin and Idlib, until Tel Abyad and Serêkaniyê, that is, more than 10 percent of the country’s area.

He continued: "Turkey covets in the Syrian lands, it has traded with the Syrian people even by traveling to Libya, and we are against that because they are the sons of our people. We want to be one rank in order to reconstruct Syria again."

Al-Osaidi stressed that the Arab tribes stand with the SDF, calling on the Syrian regime "to stand with the SDF in order to liberate the Syrian lands."
