For the fourth year in succession, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes against the indigenous people of Afrin at home, especially the Yazidi community, and they are practicing a policy of demographic change and extermination against 22 Yazidi villages distributed on the districts of the occupied Afrin canton.

The occupation is also working to establish dozens of settlements in all areas of the occupied canton, especially the Yazidi villages.

In this regard, the Co-chair of the Yazidi Union of Afrin Canton, Suad Hesso, said to our agency that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries intend to exterminate the Yazidi community by various means.

In her speech, Suad confirmed that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, after their occupation of Afrin, have been seeking to change the identity of the Yazidi villages in Afrin and turn their homes into Islamic religious centers, after the residents of the villages were forcibly displaced from their homes."

Suad indicated that there are about 3,000 Yazidi families distributed in 22 villages in Afrin, who are exposed to the most heinous crimes and violations at the hands of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries.

She said, "Turkey is working to achieve in Afrin what ISIS could not achieve in Şengal."

Suad denounced the participation of Gulf States and societies that support terrorist organizations affiliated with Turkey in the occupied territories to change the demographics of the occupied Afrin canton, especially the Yazidi villages.

'The people of Palestine more deserve the financial support that they provide to the mercenaries in Afrin'

Suad said: "The people of Palestine, known as (Palestine 48), are supporting and promoting the building of settlements in the Yazidi villages," noting that "the financial support that the Palestinian people and their children are more entitled to the support they are donating to the mercenaries in Syria."

Suad Hesso called on international organizations not to cooperate with the Turkish occupation and the extremist Islamic associations in Afrin, which are working on demographic change in the region and the annihilation of the Yazidi community.

Suad also called on humanitarian and international organizations concerned with the rights of religions in the world to immediately intervene and put an end to the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

At the end of her speech, Suad Hesso appealed to all Kurds and the Yazidi community in particular to rise up in the face of the Turkish occupation, and to increase the pace of their resistance.
