Sudanese Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs dismissed because of Qatar

"The dismissal of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Badr al-Din Abdullah came because of the preparation of a press statement about the visit of a delegation." The US Alhura TV website quoted the spokesman of the Transitional Military Council in Sudan Shams al-Din al-Kabbashi as saying.

Al-Kabbashi said in response to questions by journalists about the reason for the dismissal of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministry's statement was based on press reports conflicting information about the intention of a Qatari delegation to visit Sudan.

He explained that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not take on this subject the opinion of the military council, which did not express the statement of his official position, according to al-Kabbashi.

Earlier on Thursday, the head of the transitional council, Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, issued a decision to dismiss Abdullah.
