Syrian Observatory: Russian planes committed massacre in Maarat al-Numaan

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Russian aircraft, committed Monday morning, a massacre during the targeting of a popular market in the city of Maarat al-Numaan south of Idlib, resulted in the killing 16 and wounding 35 others, some of them in critical status.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 16 people, including eight unidentified persons, have lost their lives till this moment. The attack was carried out by Russian warplanes targeting a popular market in the southern town of Maarat al-Numaan on Monday morning.

According to the Observatory, the number of victims is likely to rise to the presence of more than 35 wounded, some of them in critical cases, in addition to information on the deaths of others.

On the other hand, the warplanes carried out several raids on Kafarsgana, Marzita, Armania, Bseida and Kafroma in the southern countryside of Idlib.

With more casualties, it has risen to 707 civilians killed since the worst-ever escalation in the so-called "De- escalation" on April 30.
