With the escalation and barbarism of the Turkish attack on the areas of northern and eastern Syria, the convoy of martyrs of innocent civilians has been increasingly affected by treachery and Turkish criminality.
Today, with more sadness and sorrow, the northern and eastern areas of Syria received the bad news of the martyrdom of the engineer (Hevrin Khalaf), Secretary General of the Future Syria Party, whose car was targeted on the international road (Hasakah-Aleppo) in a treacherous and cowardly operation by the Turkish occupation forces and its mercenaries on 12/10/2019, in continuation of its aggression against civilians and unarmed residents, since the beginning of the Turkish invasion of northern and eastern Syria on 9 October, 2019.
We at the Council of Women in Northern and Eastern Syria condemn and denounce this cowardly act against the martyr (hevrin Khalaf) and call on the international community and human rights and international women's organizations to assume their responsibility and intervene to stop this brutal Turkish crime against the components and peoples of northern and eastern Syria, which is not based on any legal or lawful justification.
We also renew our pledge to unite with our people and forces that have defended and continue to defend all humanity and stood up to terrorism in all its forms.
