Tahrir al-Sham mercenaries escalated attacks against regime

The mercenaries of Tahrir al-Sham escalate their attacks on the positions of the regime forces in the so-called demilitarized zones, resulting in casualties between the two sides, while the regime forces intensified their shelling of these areas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that mercenary groups continued to escalate their attacks on the regime forces, within the so-called demilitarized zones extending from the northeastern Latakia mountains to the northwestern suburbs of Aleppo, through the villages of Hama and Idlib.

In the early hours of dawn, mercenaries of Tahrir al-Sham launched a violent attack on the regime's checkpoint, east of the town of  Qalat al-Madiq in the northwestern countryside of Hamah. There were violent clashes between the two sides, accompanied by mutual attacks.

The clashes between the two sides resulted in casualties, killing at least 8 members of the regime forces while killing at least 3 mercenaries of Tahrir al-Sham.

After the attack, the regime carried out intensive bombardment targeting Qalat al-Madiq in Sahl al-Ghab and al-Sehriya village, while Russian warplanes targeted after midnight on Monday more raids in the vicinity of the village of Qoura in Shahshobo mountain, bringing the number to 4 raids since last night.

The demilitarized zones are witnessing an escalation in conjunction with the 12th round of Astana meetings, which have been failed by disagreements over the Constitutional Commission and the situation in Idlib.
