The displaced from Afrin: Our resistance continues in Shahba until the liberation of Afrin

The people of Afrin forcibly displaced to Al-Shahba district and Sherawa district’s villages, demanded the exit of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries from the occupied canton of Afrin, and affirmed their determination to remain in Al-Shahba until the liberation of Afrin to return to it.

Residents of the forcibly displaced Afrin people continue to resist in the villages and suburbs of Shahba and Sherawa, despite the difficult conditions, which they suffer in the camps and semi-destroyed homes.

A number of the displaced people living in al-Awda camp say that the Turkish occupation forced them to leave their homes, but stressed that they would resist in al-Shahba until the liberation of Afrin.

Turkey occupied Afrin canton in March 18, 2018 after launching an aggression, which was resisted by the YPG for 58 days.

Mother Zain Khalil (55 years) says that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries have forcibly displaced her from her home, and she demands that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries leave their homes as soon as possible, so that she can return.

Zainat Khalil indicated that they had been resisting in the camps for two years away from Afrin, with the aim of returning to it, pointing out that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries had destroyed everything they owned in occupied Afrin.

As for the citizen Suleiman Juma from the occupied village of Berrad in the district of Sherawa, he witnessed the entry of the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries to his village, as they forced him to leave his home forcibly.

Juma confirms that the Turkish occupation army cut 600 olive trees and looted all of his property in front of him.

Jumah continued his speech by saying: "The mercenaries told me: This house no longer belongs to you, and you must go from here, otherwise we will kill you."

He added, "My village is tens of kilometers away from the camp in the village of Al-Ziyara in Sherawa district where we live, and I cannot go to it because of the presence of the Turkish occupation army and its terrorist mercenaries."

Shereen Aliko says: The Turkish occupation forced them from their homes and that the occupation army shells are still chasing them to Al-Shahba.

And she saw that the Turkish occupation is trying to intimidate and spread fear in the hearts of the displaced families in Shahba, so that they can occupy the area and repeat the scenario of Afrin.

Aliko said: The occupied Afrin is only a few minutes away from them, but they cannot return to it, and stressed their resistance in the camps, until the liberation of Afrin from the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.
