This evening, activists and pioneers of virtual communication sites are launching a hashtag to lift the siege on al-Shahba, Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo.

At exactly 21:00 pm, Tuesday, activists and pioneers of virtual communication sites are launching a hashtag to demand the lifting of the siege on al-Shahba, Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo.

The Damascus government has imposed a suffocating siege on al-Shahba and neighbourhoods for more than 5 years, which it tightened in August 2022, during which it prevents the passage of basic materials, fuel and medicines.

According to what activists, who are scheduled to participate in publishing the hashtag, reported to ANHA’s agency, the process will last for one day only, as it will end at 21:00 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, while publishing will focus on the virtual "Facebook" platform.

The activists called for solidarity with the people of al-Shahba and the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, and to participate in spreading the hashtag on the widest scale, to achieve the desired goal of lifting the siege.

On the 8th of last May, activists launched the hashtag #Damascus_siege_us_Turkey_kills us against the siege of the Damascus government and the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the displaced in al-Shahba and in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods.
