Transit traffic halted in Semalka until further notice due to heavy rains

The movement through the border crossing of Semalka stopped until further notice because of the high level of the Tigris River due to the heavy rains that have fallen since Saturday.

The director of the Relations Office at the Semalka border crossing Paz Ahmed told our agency, Hawar news (ANHA) that the crossing through the Semalaka border crossing between Rojava and Başûr Kurdistan has been completely halted, including commercial traffic and humanitarian cases, due to rising the level of the Tigris waters.

Ahmed noted that the transit traffic at the crossing is ceased until further notice until the water level is low.
