Turkish authorities arrest co-chair of HDP in Amed

Turkish authorities have arrested the co-chair of the HDP in Amed, Hülya Al-Lukman Uyank, against whom an arrest warrant had previously issued.

Today, a judgment session was held in the case of the co-chair of the HDP in Amed, Hülya Al-Lukman Uyank, against whom a case was filed under the pretext that she was the co-chair of the Health Union, a worker in the social services SES Amed branch in 2012, participated in the activities of the union and became a member of the Democratic Society Conference (KCD), claiming that she was a member of an organization.

The court had issued a prison sentence against Hülya Al-Luqman Uyank of 7 years and 6 months in prison, claiming that she was a member of an organization, and the sentence became 10 years and 6 months, as today an arrest warrant was issued against her.

After the arrest warrant was issued, Hülya Al-Lukman Uyank was arrested in Stora district of Mardin while she was visiting the family.
