Turkish mercenaries and settlers enjoy cutting trees in occupied Afrin

The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation and settlers from the countryside of Idlib cut down (520) various trees in the villages of the occupied Afrin canton, as part of a series of crimes of the Turkish occupation army against nature.

According to a source from the occupied Afrin canton, the Turkish occupation mercenaries and settlers from Jabal al-Zawiya and the town of Atmeh in the countryside of Idlib cut down (520) trees, olives, apples, pears, almonds and walnuts in the villages of Karzilah and Aindra in Sherawa district, and the village of Joga in the center of Afrin.

The trees belong to the citizens: "Rashid Abdo - Rezan Abdo - Mustafa Abdo - Muhammad Ibo - Mustafa Muhammad - Youssef Abdel Rahman", from the villages of Karzilah and Aindara.

In the village of Joga, the Turkish occupation mercenaries and settlers cut down (20) olive trees, owned by the citizen, "Osman Haj Hamid", and it is located near the Afrin River.

A circulated video shows the illegal cutting of trees in the forest located between the villages of Tatara and Kafr Safra in Janders district.

After the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries occupied Afrin canton, they continue to commit crimes against nature, including unjustly cutting down trees and setting fire to forests.

According to the statistics of human rights organizations, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries cut down more than 367,000 thousand trees, burned more than 13,500 thousand various trees, and burned more than 12,000 hectares of agricultural land and forests, about 5 years of occupation of Afrin canton.
