US Central Command announces high alert to confront possible threats in Iraq

On Wednesday, US Central Command has announced, high alert has escalated because of possible imminent threats against US Troops which existed in Iraq by Iran.

US Central Command said in a statement that the Central Command, in coordination with operation "Determined Steel", has upgraded the level of concentration of all forces involved in operations in Iraq and Syria.

"The operation is at a high level of preparedness, and the threats will be closely watched in Iraq by Iran.

Mutual escalation has intensified between US and Iran in recent days, due to imposition of US sanctions on Tehran, including a ban on the export of Iranian oil, while Tehran is threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation, in case of preventing it from exporting its oil to the world, while the United States of America sent the aircraft carrier, "Abraham Lincoln" to the region to protect its interests.
