What is the Parastin service -3

Parastin's role in exterminating Kurdish revolutionary movements

A member of MIT, who was arrested in a qualitative operation by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in 2018 says about Parastin's relations with the Turkish MIT: "Weekly, meetings are held between the "Parastin" and the Turkish MIT within the framework of the intelligence exchange, and the representative of the Turkish consulate and MIT in Parastin, as well as representatives responsible for PKK table who are high-level officials join these meetings. I know with certainty that only one time they gave 40,000 dollars to PKK table official, and information is obtained through the  weekly meetings held between the Parastin and the MIT.

After taking the decision to establish the Presidency of the Iraq Department for Special Activities, the decision to form military forces simultaneously was taken; Peshmerga Roj forces, after special activities were organized in Iraq. Various things will happen, but I do not know exactly from which groups the relations of these departments will be, and the groups present here will be armed to be used against you."

These documents clearly show the relations between the "Parastin" and the Turkish "MIT" intelligence, and on the issue of coordinating relations among the four intelligence services (the MIT, Parastin, Mossad and SAVAK) Jalal Talabani says in his book (The One-Time-Only Meeting): "The Barzanis promised Iran that they would not conduct any political activities and did not interfere with anything, Mulla Mustafa himself says in several press interviews (with Kayhan newspaper 05/01/1975 with Hassanein Haygal: "My work is over, it was the will of God. I will not work in politics anymore, the struggle, revolution and my political life are over." After the establishment of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (YNK), they also (the Barzanis) established the so-called interim leadership, and sent some other people such as "Karim Sinjari, Jawhar Nameq and Abo Antar to Turkey to combat us. I know for sure that the MIT, the Iranian Savak and even the Mossad had a hand in it and were helping them against us, just because we supported the Palestinian cause, and we had good relations with them.

We said that the Barzanis also cooperated with the Iranians against the Kurds of Eastern Kurdistan, and Mahmoud Othman says in his memoirs in this regard: "Barzani cooperated with the Iranian Shah's regime against the leaders of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Iran in Southern Kurdistan, where he used to arrest them and hand them over to the Iranian authorities or kill them himself, except that he sent Peshmerga forces to Iran to assist the Iranian forces to put out the armed resistance in Eastern Kurdistan. They also followed this policy against Rojava Kurds.Turkey was building a wall of shame on its borders with Rojava, and at the same time Barzani was digging trenches between Southern and Western Kurdistan, closing the Semalka crossing border and tighterning the seige to stiffle the people of Rojava. In addition, when the Turkish state attacked Afrin, the youths of Southern Kurdistan got enthusiastic and headed towards Rojava to turn their anger at the Turkish state, and on the way, PDK's Asayîş stopped them and shot them with live bullets, wounding five of them.

These actions against Kurds put them in the category of suspicion of their Pan-Kurdishism, as they have carried out these actions against their families and their closest relatives as well. In his memoirs, Professor Mahmoud Othman says: "Barzani and his sons never went to one of the fronts one day, they did not fight the Guerrilla war, nor they put forward a plan to launch any operation, or to deal the enemy any fatal blow, as Barzani went only once to the battlefront when he went to Barzan and expelled his son Sheikh Osman and his group from the region, meaning that his departure was of more tribal dimensions and characteristics than being of Kurdish or patriotic dimensions."

Therefore, we can say that the "Parastim" apparatus had a benefit as it protects the interests of the Barzanian family, its men and those with high positions, and the vast majority of their men report agaisnt innocent people, destroying their lives to obtain the satisfication of the Barzani family only, especially persons, organizations, or clans, no matter how they served the Kurdish cause or sacrificed for its sake. Any person or organization opposes the Barzanian family or the Barzani authority means according to their concept that this person is against the Kurdish movement, and therefore against the homeland, then they are a traitor. Thus they must be banished.

Although there are people or organizations oppose their authority and abhor their actions, they do not dare to publicly disclose their positions via demonstrations in streets, as their actions terrorized society. In 2017, the popular demonstrations and protests against the policies of the Kurdistan Region's authorities took place in Sulaymaniyah, Rania and all the areas of Soran. However, we have not seen serious oppositional reactions in Bhdinan region controlled by the Barzanis. Are there no popular reactions against Barzani's authority and his actions? Is everyone satisfied with Barzani's policies? Undoubtedly, they are not satisfied, and there are reactions, but as a result of intimidation and arbitrariness committed by the arbitrary agency, no one dares to go to the streets and reveal what is inside. The criteria and standards of the Barzani family are obedience and loyalty, and if anyone opposes them, the "Parastin" apparatus will be on the lookout. In addition to that, they fight the thought and opinion makers, and target all movements that struggle to eradicate them, and the exterminations that take place within the family are also carried out by the Parastin. There are many people who have been exterminated by the Parastin, and their fate is unknown until now. Furthermore, dozens of journalists have been tortured or killed because they only criticized the Barzani family, and the fate of dozens of them is still anonymous.

Mohamed Salman Barwari, a former agent of the "Parastin", says in his memoirs: "The Parastin cadres were very cruel and devoid of mercy, and if they suspected someone that belonged to the Baath Party (their allies' party), or from the Kurdistan revolutionary group Jennah Jalali, or someone spoke badly about the Barzani family, or opposed the views of Barzani's party and its head, they would arrest them, put them in prison, torture them, kill them and attach a stone to their corpses, and then throw the body into a river to submerge underwater."
