Today, 3 August, the 6th anniversary of the Şengal massacre by ISIS mercenaries against the Yazidi community. In this regard, our agency met with the Yazidi Women Coordinator at the Yazidi House in the city of Aleppo, Rania Ja'afar, who was previously an administrative in the Sara Organization to Combat Violence against Women in Afrin. she had a role in documenting crimes against Yazidi women who had been freed from the hands of ISIS mercenaries .
"Şengal massacre was the most brutal attack by ISIS mercenaries, and genocide was carried out against the Yazidi community, and the village of Kojo had the largest share of it." She said.
Member of the Women’s Coordinator in the Yazidi House noted that she had met many Yazidi women who had been freed from the hands of mercenaries, “and they told stories of unparalleled brutality.”
"One of the women told them what she and her one-year-old and 6-month-old daughter had experienced how an ISIS mercenary had killed her in front of her." She says.
"Another woman told us about the details of the assault on her 7-year-old daughter, who was assaulted by a group of mercenaries at the same time, and because of her young age and physiological intolerance, she suffered a severe bleeding, losing her life as a result. "
Women should join hands
She pointed out that the massacre of ISIS mercenaries in Şengal, which was called the "Tragedy Of The Times", continues in Afrin also at the hands of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, as they carry out the killings and kidnappings. The Yazidis are exposed to this is the best proof of that.
At the end of her speech, she referred to the neglect of human rights organizations of the massacres against the Yazidis, whose decisions are ink on paper. And she called on all women to join forces and stand before the massacres and crimes against women.
