William Robak: We still have more work to eliminate Daesh completely

The United States envoy to the International Coalition against Daesh, William Robak, congratulated defeating Daesh praised the role of SDF in Syria.


This came during William Robak's speech at the ceremony announcing the end of Daesh in Deir ez-Zor countryside.

"We would like to make a statement on behalf of the United States, we know the Syrian people by destroying Daesh and liberating the remaining areas, liberating the areas gave a great strategy to the International Coalition and its partners," William Robak said at the start of his speech.

Robak said the United States is proud to play its part among 59 countries in the International Coalition in the elimination of IS adding " We would not have been able to eliminate Daesh without our alliance with partners in Syria and the sacrifices made by the Syrian people.

Robak added, "We appreciate the sacrifices of SDF and the Iraqi Security Forces and their courage in achieving this victory, and we extend condolences to the families of all the martyrs."

He said," we still have more work to do," we were clear, and we will support the coalition operations against Daesh. President Trump said we will do whatever is necessary for Syria."

"We support Resolution No. 2254 to reach a complete political solution in Syria," Robak said at the end of his speech.
