The Women's Administration in the city of al-Raqqa released a statement on Leyla Guven's resistance and her comrades who declared the end of their hunger strike after the letter of the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The women working in the institutions and women's councils participated in the statement that was delivered in front of the Women's Administration in al-Raqqa, holding the slogan "All of Us Are Leyla Guven, Together, We Will Lift the Isolation on the Leader," and the flags of Women's Administration.
And the statement was read by the administrator in the Women's Administration Fahima al-Jassem and its text included:
"On the basis of the principle that human's will makes the impossible, we see that Leyla Guven and her comrades' resistance in prisons and outside them has confirmed that they have the most powerful weapons that the world could not use, when they decided to go on hunger strike and put the martyrdom in front of their eyes because they realize that their strike is for peace and for humanity as a whole. Which law prevents the leader from exercising his natural right to meet with his family and his lawyer?
Here, the story began with the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades, so that all the peoples aware of this reality stood in solidarity with these comrades and supported them, so that they achieved the triumph, and forced the Turkish authorities with their resistance to meet with the leader of peoples and humanity. We, the women of north and east of Syria, will support every resistance wherever it is because the issue is one and the cause of the peoples is one suffering and pain. From here, the lines of history began writing that the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades changed the course of history and that the human will is over all deadly weapons.
The statement ended with chanting the slogans that saluted the resistance of Leyla Guven and her comrades.
