The Women Body of the Autonomous Administration in Afrin canton denounced the Turkish state’s violations against women in southern Kurdistan, and pledged to escalate the struggle against fascism.

The Women Body of the Autonomous Administration in Afrin canton issued a statement to the public opinion with the participation of dozens of representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Afrin canton, where they held pictures of women who were martyred by the Turkish occupation in the occupied areas in northern and eastern Syria.

The statement was read by the Head of the Women Body in the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Afrin canton, Zallokh Rashid.

The statement condemned the violations committed by the Turkish state against women in southern Kurdistan, and stressed that women in northern and eastern Syria will not bow to the fascist Turkish mentality, and will reinforce their struggle.

The statement added that the systematic attacks by the Justice and Development Party government on the Kurdish people in Bakur Kurdistan in general and on Kurdish women in particular are only a continuation of the genocide policy adopted by the Turkish state since years.

The statement concluded by saying, "We, Afrin women, pledge to raise the pace of our resistance and our struggle against the Turkish occupation until achieving freedom for women."
