Israeli forces released two young men they had detained yesterday during an incursion into the vicinity of the village of Taranga in the northern Quneitra countryside, while they were working in the olive groves in the area, amid continued Israeli military movements in areas of the Quneitra and Daraa countrysides in southern Syria.

Yesterday, Israeli forces arrested three young men during incursions and military movements in the Quneitra countryside, coinciding with the closure of the Hadar-Taranga road and the imposition of restrictions on the movement of residents, which raised concerns among residents about their safety and their ability to access their agricultural lands.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights stated that the three detainees come from the towns of Saida al-Jawlan and Jabata al-Khashab, without providing further details regarding the fate of the third young man.

In the context of field movements, an Israeli patrol penetrated the Al-Aqrabiyah area, located between the villages of Abdeen and Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin in the western Daraa countryside, and set up a checkpoint in the area.

Another patrol, consisting of three tanks and three cars, also advanced west of the town of Saida al-Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, where the tanks proceeded to bulldoze trees in the plains of the area.

Yesterday, Israeli forces cut off the Hadar-Taranga road at the Al-Sawana area in the northern Quneitra countryside, and closed the town’s entrance using earth mounds and barbed wire, while simultaneously spotting vehicles and bulldozers at the entrance from the Taranga side, and preventing residents from leaving, amid ambiguity regarding the duration of the closure.

In the al-Hanout farm in the Quneitra countryside, residents appealed to the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) to intervene and halt the incursions and measures that impede their access to grazing lands. They also intercepted a UN convoy as it passed through the area, demanding that their grievances be conveyed to the relevant authorities. An official in the convoy pledged to deliver their demands to the appropriate officials.

In a related development, about eight vehicles belonging to the United Nations and diplomatic protection entered the city of Busra al-Sham in the eastern countryside of Daraa yesterday, before heading towards the eastern side of the city, without any information being available about the nature of the mission or the reasons for the movement.
