Kobani residents bid farewell to Internal Security Forces member

Residents of Kobani and its countryside gathered today at the Dicle Martyrs’ Shrine to bid farewell to the body of Damhat Grî Spî, a member of the Internal Security Forces. His real name was Mustafa Weso Hasan. He died on September 25 in a traffic accident on the Qamishlo–Garkê Legê road.

Narin Mustafa then delivered a speech on behalf of the Internal Security Forces, offering condolences to the martyr’s family and saying that the loss of every fighter increases their responsibilities toward the homeland. She also spoke about the deceased’s efforts and service within the Internal Security Forces and pledged to continue following his path.

Salah Kobani then delivered a speech on behalf of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), highlighting Damhat’s patriotism and struggle. He said honoring the fallen and following their path represents a sacred duty to preserve the gains achieved by the people of the region.

The ceremony concluded with the reading of the martyr’s document and its handover to his family before his body was laid to rest amid ululations and chants of “Martyrs are immortal.”

Relatives of Damhat Grî Spî also set up a condolence tent today in Garkê Legê, where residents gathered to offer their condolences and express their sympathy to the family.
