N. Kurdistan delegation concludes meeting with Ilham Ahmed, meets with Qamishlo officials

The closed-door meeting between Kurdish politician Ilham Ahmed, accompanied by Roshan Hassan, a member of the Foreign Relations Committee in Rojava, and a delegation from Northern Kurdistan comprising representatives of local administration councils and municipalities affiliated with the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), has ended.

At the conclusion of the meeting, held at the Foreign Relations Department building in Qamishlo, the delegation presented Ilham Ahmed with a commemorative gift before heading to the Qamishlo District Directorate. The delegation was received by District Director Cihan Hossam and officials from the district directorate, as well as Luqman Khalil, commander of the Qamishlo Brigade in the Syrian army.

The delegation is scheduled to hold a press conference after concluding its meeting at the Qamishlo District Directorate.

The Northern Kurdistan delegation consists of the co-mayor of Mardin Municipality; Devrim Demir, co-spokesperson of the Local Administrations’ Diplomacy Committee; Safiye Akdağ, co-mayor of the Yenişehir district municipality in Amed Province; Sevim Biciçi, co-mayor of the Farqin district municipality in Amed Province; Belkıza Beştaş Ebuzdemir, co-mayor of Tatvan Municipality; and Ruken Demirer, a member of the Diplomacy Committee.
